We will leave the host hotel (Crowne Plaza) at 3pm on Wednesday 8/19 heading to beautiful and historic Bennington, VT. Our first stop will be at Hemmings Motor News Magazine headquarters where we will be treated to a private tour of the former museum which is now a working garage for the maintenance of the Hemmings vehicle fleet.
After our tour we will head to the Upper Pavilion at Willow Park where we will enjoy a catered pizza and salad dinner courtesy of the 421 Craft Bar. The Pavilion affords views of the park, historic old Bennington and the Bennington battle monument. No alcohol allowed in the park.
After dinner; we will wind our way back to Benson’s (for ice cream) in Eagle Bridge, NY via two or three historic covered bridges as we exit Vermont.
And finally, back to the Crowne Plaza.
