1988/1989 Buick Reatta Touch Screens

by ecrp on January 21, 2012

We’re now offering fully overhauled touch screens for 1988 and 1989 Buick Reattas!

These units are throughly and professionally overhauled  and are warrantied for 2 years. If you have any problems at all with the screen, we’ll replace it.

The remanufacture operation involves complete dismantling of the CRT unit.  The CRT tube is removed, the PC board is examined for bad solder joints, burned or overheated components etc.  Six critical power components are replaced along with several electrolytic capacitors.  The units are then reassembled and tested with the factory Kent-Moore tester under the following conditions:

120 minutes at a setting of 10.5 volts;  120 minutes at a setting of 13.5 volts;  240 minutes at a setting of 12.0 volts.

Overhauled units are the best and most effective fix for these screens to date. Don’t settle for less. Buy with confidence.

And now, an industry first, we refurbish the screen cosmetics as well! When you open the box, you will receive as close as you can to a brand new screen.

USPS Insured Priority Mail Shipping is included with the purchase price.

WARRANTY STATEMENT:  We, the repair facility, will replace any CRT unit that was originally overhauled by us and has failed within a 24 month period. The failed unit must be returned to the repair facility for evaluation.  Physically damaged units are not eligible for this 24 month warranty. All shipping costs will be borne by the repair facility if the unit is found to be defective. The original packing slip must accompany the returned unit.

My screen has started to flicker, if I get a rebuilt unit any ideas where I could get it installed in the Charlette area? Thanks George

My 88 CRT screen just died. I have a spare used/tested one I bought several years ago from someone on this site. The problem is, I don’t have a clue how to replace the screen. Do you do “install work” like this if I bring the car to you? Approximate time required/cost? What city are you in or close to? Thanks
